Alpine Hollow utilizes a combat system that is most similar to Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition - but simplified for ease of use. This system will be in place during events, including combat encounters, investigation scenes, scouting missions and in the discord roleplay channels. The system is developed to be easy to pick up for recruits and to be engaging in character class fantasy.Note: The system does change with patches if needed. This can be due to balancing items within the system or to adjust with campaign changes.

Validate Character Health:
If you added points into Constitution, be sure to add an additional +1 to your health for each point allocated. Remember, you begin with six health!
Select Starting Items:
Choose your four starting items from the base item list. You can choose any combination of the eight, but you cannot double down on the same item. If an item adds a bonus to your attribute, make sure to add that to your attribute total when you finalize your character sheet.
Post your Character Sheet:
When you've allocated your attribute points, determined your health pool and selected your items, there is only one last task to do: post your sheet in the appropriate discord channel (#character-sheets)! Once you've posted your sheet, an officer will approve it if there are no edits that need to be made. Remember, you cannot change your starting items once the approval has been given on your character sheet.
Start attending events:
Once you've made your character sheet, you can start attending events! Some events will reward you with bonus items or boons to your attribute points. You'll begin earning Courtwood Commendations with each event and contract you complete, which you can use to purchase better gear and weapons from the Quartermaster Catalog. Be sure to give it a glance over to start planning what to spend your earned Commendations on!
